Born and raised in East Meadow, NY lived out in long Island until moving to Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL now Walden. Been in the Security Software business for 30+ years and built several successful Global Companies. Living in DE with my husband 2 French bulldogs for almost 3yrs. in my spare time I do charitable work various Sussex County organizations to give back and on off days enjoying having family/friends over for pools outings, laughs playing poker and drinking some bourbon.

In 2022, after vacationing in Rehoboth Beach for over a decade, my wife Donna and I moved to Walden from our home in New Jersey.  After a 30 year career in law enforcement, I retired as a Police Lieutenant in one of NJ’s largest municipalities. Throughout my career I was assigned to many units, including Police Administration. I spend a lot of time in the community, chairing committees, assisting with projects and establishing the Bourbon Group. This has allowed me to meet many wonderful residents and understand their issues here at Walden. What started as our dream has become our reality. Walden has been good to us and to our family, and I look forward to being a part of making it better for every other person and family who moves into our growing community. 

Hi! I’m Tom Hedberg, the Treasurer of the Walden Homeowners Association. As an engineer with a knack for project management and business operations, I’m excited to help our community thrive. When I’m not working or keeping an eye on the Walden finances, you’ll find me playing ice hockey, road cycling, or hanging out with my wife Becky and our kids, Ethan and Lucas. We are excited to be spending time at the Clubhouse pool this summer and getting to know our neighbors. I am looking forward to serving you all!

I am excited to be a part of the Walden HOA board, bringing a commitment to fostering a thriving, harmonious community. As an IT professional for JP Morgan Chase for nearly 20 years, I’ve honed skills in problem-solving, collaboration, and strategic planning—qualities I’ll apply to serve our neighborhood effectively. My family and I have lived in Walden for 4 years (among the first handful to settle and experience all the growing pangs). Beyond my professional life, I enjoy participating in fantasy sports leagues, reading (grew up on everything Michael Crichton), poker and a newfound appreciation of pickleball this past year which has connected me to even more members of our community. I’m eager to contribute my time, energy, and ideas to strengthen Walden.
